Amber Glades is newly renovated older apartment complex meaning that the living space is typically bigger which is nice. We looked at the Shore and for what you paid, you get much smaller accommodations there. Nice things about the apartment are size and location, negatives are no ammenities aside from a bbq grill (allowed to use the Katong Village Hotel pool and weight room, but there is no sense of community in that), no oven, and a very hot kitchen which is adjacent to the laundry room which has AC unit (the hot part). Don't run AC and cook at the same time or you'll melt. The street is surprisingly noisy and the Ferrari and motorbikes like to throttle it in first gear. if you have an infant baby, this can cause some long nights. Not a bad place, great location (shopping, restaurants, beach are all close by), but definitely some cons... at least compared to what I'm used to.
